Pioneer of the #autotweet to provide match plots on Twitter. Father of three. Now circling back to tactical writing, which was how it all started a decade ago.

Erik Elias

Erik Elias (29) is co-founder of Between The Posts. Dutch, so admires Johan Cruijff and his football principles, but enjoys other styles as well.

Josh Manley (23) is heavily interested in tactics and strategy in football. Watches teams from all top European leagues, but especially Manchester United and Barcelona.

Julian Chingoma

Julian Chingoma (25) is a graduate student who enjoys writing about football’s tactical side. Also an aspiring coach/analyst and is primarily interested in Serie A.

Peter M.

Peter (20), lives just outside of London. He’s been writing about tactics and such for over a year now, contributing to a couple of sites during that time. His main club is Arsenal but he’s also followed Real Betis quite heavily since Quique Setién took over last year. This form of writing has become a great passion of his and, although he’s unsure of what his end aim is, he’s enjoying being given new opportunities to continue doing so.

Emmanuel Adeyemi

Emmanuel Adeyemi-Abere (19) is a student mainly based in Lancaster. One of many passions, tactical analysis has quickly become his favourite. Always on the hunt for hipster teams, he currently has a keen eye on Brighton, Marseille, and Manchester City.

Manasvin Andra

Manasvin Andra (24) is a lawyer and freelance analyst with a particular focus on German football. He enjoys uncovering the minutiae of popular tactical schemes, and can often be found arguing against the idea of a “Bundesliga tax”.

Charlie Tuley

Charlie Tuley (21) is a student at the University of Michigan as well as a performance analyst for the San Jose Earthquakes. An enjoyer of LaLiga and Spanish football tactics, with an affinity for Juego de Posición.

José Pérez

José Pérez (31) lives in Eindhoven and writes about technology and lasers in his day job. In his free time, he uses data and tactics to analyze individual matches or look at broader trends in a league. Mostly focused on La Liga, José co-hosts the Between The Posts podcast with Erik, and writes weekly articles for Managing Madrid. Harshal Patel

Harshal Patel (29) is a financial analyst by day, and a passionate football fan. He supports Manchester United, so has become used to disappointment and despair. Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, Graham Potter and Julian Nagelsmann are his managerial favourites.

Neel Shelat

Neel Shelat (17) is a football fanatic and freelance writer covering the sport across Europe from an analytical viewpoint. He has a keen eye for tactics and statistics, which are the centrepieces of his analyses. There is nothing he enjoys more than a well-used false-nine.

Joel Parker (21) is an Everton fan. Whenever he’s not watching his beloved Everton, Joel spends his time analyzing all sorts of football. Chief editor and founder of Toffee Analysis.

Cem Soylu

Cem Soylu (30) has always been obsessed with football, and he’s a lifelong student of the game. Currently working as a finance professional in New York, he worked for his beloved team Galatasaray’s scouting team in the past and he holds a Youth Certificate from Irish FA. He actively follows all main European leagues, often picking the tactically interesting ones, only if it’s not clashing with a Galatasaray game. Has a particular affinity to three man defense formations.
