Bournemouth – Manchester City: Arsenal Win The Premier League As City Stumble Against Bournemouth (1-1)
Man City could only draw 1-1 against Bournemouth at the Vitality in what was a must-win game for Guardiola’s side. Goals from Eli Junior Kroupi for Bournemouth and a late equaliser from Erling Haaland for City meant both sides shared the points leading to Arsenal being confirmed as 25/26 Premier League champions.

This was the big one. This was the game City simply had to win to have any hopes of snatching the Premier League title from Arsenal’s grasp. However, on the night Andoni Iraola and his side orchestrated a robust performance keeping City at bay and almost winning the game if it wasn’t for Haaland’s late equaliser in injury time.
Bournemouth have performed well above expectations this season and it was always going to be a tough away game for City at the Vitality. One could argue that Bournemouth dominated the game and kept City at bay and in truth, it was the case as City went behind in the first half thanks to Eli Junior Kroupi. The Bournemouth forward’s effort flew into the City net to give the Cherries the lead.
As the game progressed, City failed to break down a compact and tight Bournemouth defense who in turn looked deadly and dangerous on the counter. Bournemouth substitute David Brooks could’ve scored a couple more in the second half but one of his shots was saved by Donnarumma whilst the other came off the post.
