Manchester City hosted West Ham United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, knowing that all they needed to do to secure another Premier League title was to match Arsenal’s result against Everton. West Ham meanwhile were without much to play for, as European qualification of any kind was out of reach. The game did still carry some significance for the away side though, as it was David Moyes’ final game in charge.
Pep Guardiola lined his side up in a 4-3-3 shape here, with a back four of Kyle Walker, Rúben Dias, Manuel Akanji, and Joško Gvardiol. Rodri was the deepest midfielder, with Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden ahead of him. The front three was then comprised of Bernardo Silva, Erling Haaland, and Jérémy Doku.
The away side meanwhile were set up in a 3-4-3 shape, with Kurt Zouma, Konstantinos Mavropanos, and Aaron Cresswell in the back three. Vladimír Coufal and Emerson Palmieri were the wing-backs, while Tomáš Souček and James Ward-Prowse partnered in central midfield. Mohammed Kudus and Lucas Paquetá supported Michail Antonio up front.
