In a Bundesliga weekend where there were many intriguing matchups, a clash between Stuttgart and Bayern Munich arguably carried the most weight. Crucial weeks lie ahead for Vincent Kompany as he looks to guide his side ahead of the final Bundesliga run of fixtures to reclaim the title. Sebastian Hoeneß named an unchanged eleven that faced Hoffenheim five days prior. However, Kompany made four alterations with Harry Kane, Leon Goretzka, João Palhinha, and Alphonso Davies featuring instead of Thomas Müller, Aleksandar Pavlović, Joshua Kimmich, and Hiroki Itō.
