Borussia Dortmund – Stuttgart: Undav’s Hattrick Secure Comeback Despite Early Dortmund Dominance (3-3)

After a positive start to the campaign, Borussia Dortmund’s hot form has hit a minor hump in recent weeks after their narrow 2-1 defeat to the reigning champions Bayern Munich. Although they immediately followed that result with two wins over Copenhagen in the Champions League and then Köln in the Bundesliga, the next fixtures saw slight dips.

In a DFB-Pokal clash with Eintracht Frankfurt, Dortmund only edged through on penalties after drawing 1-1. The next match was a thin 1-0 victory against Augsburg despite barely creating any chances and arguably conceding slightly more. A tie against Manchester City was bound to be difficult and proved to be the case as they lost 4-1. Further, last weekend, a 1-1 draw against Hamburger in a match where there was yet again very little between chances generated and conceded led to another two points being dropped.
