Eintracht Frankfurt – Bayern Munich: Reigning Champions Keep Dominating (0-3)

Bayern Munich’s hot start to the season did not lose a beat against one of their strongest domestic competitors. Eintracht Frankfurt were trailing before the blink of an eye. A clash between Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayern Munich during the weekend was the highlight fixture as they are two entertaining teams. This season, Dino Toppmöller is developing his side by making them more tactically diverse. In the successful 2024–25 season, where they finished in third place, a historic achievement for the club, Frankfurt were a counter-attacking team.

However, they managed to make the cut.

At the start of the 2025–26 campaign, Toppmöller showcased his intent to develop the team’s tactics by making them more comfortable in dominating possession. Since opponents would naturally begin to sit back against a team that is proficient in counterattacks, Frankfurt had to evolve, and they have been.

This transition has not been smooth, however. Domestically, they have already suffered two defeats – a 3 . . .
