Chelsea were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United at Stamford Bridge. Matheus Cunha’s first half goal was enough to sink the Blues who had their share of chances but failed to be decisive.

It was the same old story for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge under Liam Rosenior. Before this game against a resurgent Man United side, there were protests outside Stamford Bridge where Chelsea fans in their hundreds vehemently protested against the Blueco ownership.
Against that hostile backdrop, perhaps Chelsea fans could’ve done with a victory against the Red Devils at the Bridge, where their record against United has been exemplary. But it wasn’t to be.
Liam Rosenior’s tenure as Chelsea boss has come under intense scrutiny in recent weeks, and after their loss in this game at home to United, Chelsea have now lost four Premier League games in a row failing to score in all those four games as well, an unwanted record that has happened for the first time in just over 28 years.
Chelsea controlled play and possession but couldn’t translate their possession into goals. They came close with a goal ruled out for offside in the first half and hitting the bar multiple times, but Manchester United stayed firm and resolute in their defensive block.
The Red Devils scored a goal against the run of play after fantastic work by Bruno Fernandes down the right flank allowed him to lay it on a plate for Cunha, who finished. And after that United were happy to camp inside their own half and . . .
