The weekend was full of joy for these two clubs, but both were back to business at the Amex Stadium. Bravery and buildup schemes are two common themes in the work of the managers in the dugouts, and they were on display in an encounter where the hosts again defied the odds.

Arsenal took away the last hurdle to reach the Premier League title, but Manchester City still crowned the feat with a victory in their final game at the Etihad. Their third league title in a row is secure, and more iconic success in groups of three is on the cards. The achievement of the treble will depend on displays in the pair of cup finals at the start of June— but their peak performance appears too high for anyone to rival. Here was an ideal opponent against which they could test themselves in preparation.
