Internazionale – Real Madrid: Inzaghi’s Inter dominate, Real Win (0-1)
Inter Milan dominated this UEFA Champions League game, but a mix of some poor finishing and bad luck meant that Real Madrid were able to snatch a 1-0 win, courtesy Rodrygo’s 89th minute goal.

It has been all change at Internazionale this season, with Achraf Hakimi and Romelu Lukaku, two of the biggest pieces in the Scudetto-winning side, having departed for Paris Saint-Germain and Chelsea respectively. Antonio Conte, the man who got them that long-awaited title, also left, to be replaced by Simone Inzaghi. The former Lazio man has, however, overseen a solid start to the season, with Inter sitting on seven points after three Serie A games. He has continued with Conte’s 3-5-2 formation, but there are some differences in the way his Inter side set up to that of his predecessor.
Of course, there has been significant turnover in terms of playing and managerial staff at Real Madrid as well. Zinedine Zidane quit the club for the second time over the summer, whilst Madrid also bid goodbye to talisman and captain Sergio Ramos, along with defensive lynchpin Raphaël Varane. Their only incoming business was the arrival of David Alaba from Bayern Munich on a free transfer, with the Austrian taking Ramos’ shirt number and his place in the side. Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti has been tempted back to the Santiago Bernabeu for another spell in charge of this side.
