Nonetheless, mistakes in crucial areas, frailties out of possession, and vulnerability in setpieces revived Leeds United's hope and saw them out of the relegation zone.

After the last international break, Liverpool experienced a crisis in results. The Reds won once in the last four games and conceded eight goals.
