Arsenal are odds on for a fifth year in a row without a trophy. The Premier League looked unlikely as they trailed runaway league leaders Liverpool at the start of the new year. Now, their dreams have died altogether on the most fruitful fronts. Two humbling losses to Newcastle United in the final four of the Carabao Cup sandwiched a shootout exit to Manchester United in the FA Cup. To make matters worse, a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United consigned the club to an 11 point deficit in the second spot.
