The rest of the team remained the same as usual: Leonardo Balerdi and Michael Murillo completed the three-man defense, Luís Henrique and Quentin Merlin were the wingbacks. Valentin Rongier and Pierre-Emile Højbjerg operated in the engine room behind the attacking midfielders, Adrien Rabiot and Nadir himself.
On the other hand, Olympique Lyonnais presented their new manager, Paulo Fonseca, on the bench. In center-back, he played Moussa Niakhaté and Clinton Mata, with Nicolás Tagliafico and Saël Kumbedi on the flanks. The double pivot was made up of Jordan Veretout and Nemanja Matić, with Ernest Nuamah and Rayan Cherki on the wings, and Corentin Tolisso and Alexandre Lacazette as attacking midfielder and forward, respectively.
