Paris Saint-Germain – Lille: PSG reached the peak of the game (4-1)
A warm-up for both teams thinking about the Champions League knockout tie in the middle of the week, with good news for Paris Saint-Germain, who showed their best version without the ball and how their attacking talents continued to have top-notch complementarity.

One of the other attractive matchups proposed by Ligue 1 was this encounter between the undisputed leader of Ligue 1 (who, with the victory, had increased their lead to 16 points over their closest rival) and one of the teams that were fighting to qualify for the next UEFA Champions League, and who were also competing in the round of 16 of the current edition: LOSC Lille.
Both teams had their respective round of 16 fixtures for the following week in the top continental tournament. Paris Saint-Germain was set to play at home again the next Wednesday against Liverpool in one of the most interesting matchups, whilst the team managed by Bruno Génésio was to visit Germany to face Borussia Dortmund. Perhaps for this reason, both teams made some changes to their lineups, primarily the visitors.
The home team lined up with Marquinhos and Lucas Beraldo as center-backs, with Achraf Hakimi as the right-back and Nuno Mendes on the left; the Moroccan, as usual, took advanced positions on the field, alternating between the wide channel and the interior, whilst the Portuguese played as the left center-back in a back three when out of possession. In midfield, Fabián Ruíz played as the central midfielder, with Désiré Doué and João Neves ahead of him as central attacking midfielders . . .
