Kylian Mbappé would return to the first team with his contract dispute with the club reportedly over, and the future of Neymar decided with the often mercurial and ever-injured star sold to Saudi Arabia.
It was a new-look PSG side that debuted against Lorient and while the team wracked up 78 percent possession, they lacked cutting edge in attack, something that could be bolstered not only by Mbappé’s return but also through the signing of another mercurial and ever-injured star in Ousmane Dembélé.
