Juventus – AC Milan: Allegri’s Struggles Continue As Milan Fight Back To Claim A Point (1-1)
Juventus fans hoping for a honeymoon period following Massimiliano Allegri’s appointment have received a rude awakening, as the 54-year-old’s return has been winless so far. Stefano Pioli’s youthful AC Milan side continued their upward trajectory, on the other hand, with a hard-fought draw to show for their effort.

Matchday four in the 2021/22 Serie A season saw a resumption of hostilities between two of Italy’s most successful clubs – Juventus and AC Milan. The start of the season has not been kind to Juve, as the former perennial Italian champion came into this game with zero wins from their first three games.
AC Milan on the other hand had won all of their opening three matches, and therefore were riding high on confidence, despite a narrow 3-2 defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League in mid-week. Juventus dearly needed the three points to truly kickstart the return of Massimiliano Allegri to Turin, whilst AC Milan could keep up the pressure at the top of the table with a win of their own.
Allegri sent Juventus out in a 4-4-2 shape, with just one change from the side that had defeated Malmö in midweek. Giorgio Chiellini returned to the back four in place of Matthijs de Ligt. Up front, Allegri seems to build the side’s attack on a partnership of Paulo Dybala and Álvaro Morata.
