Notwithstanding a changeover of the man at the helm, the Swiss shone throughout 2021. Vladimir Petković delivered a bolt from the blue to eliminate the French on the path to the last eight of the EUROs before Murat Yakin guided the nation into the World Cup in the autumn. On the other hand, they are winless in 2022, losing twice on the spin in the Nations League to sit bottom of their group.
