Italy finally found their rhythm. With fluid rotations, sharp combinations and constant movement between the lines, the Azzurri overwhelmed Turkey from the opening whistle, producing their most convincing performance of the campaign as short passing and positional interchanges drove a commanding victory.

Roberto Mancini’s Italy lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, with Gianluigi Donnarumma behind Michael Kayode, Giorgio Scalvini, Alessandro Bastoni and Matteo Ruggeri, who formed the defensive line. Davide Frattesi, Nicolò Fagioli and Sandro Tonali operated as the midfield three, while Sebastiano Esposito, Francesco Pio Esposito and Giacomo Raspadori formed the front three.

Italy’s structure gave them a strong presence through the centre, while the midfield three could rotate their positions to create passing triangles and support progression. The front three also moved fluidly across the attacking line, with the wide players able to narrow their positions and combine with the midfielders. This movement allowed Italy to create multiple short-passing options and maintain fluidity as they advanced into the final third.
