The second matchday of Ligue 1 began with an enticing clash between two of the three French representatives in the Champions League this season, Lille and Paris Saint-Germain.

Without Ousmane Dembélé, rested, and João Neves, ill, Luis Enrique made a few changes to his 4-3-3. Warren Zaïre-Emery started at LB alongside Willian Pacho, Marquinhos and Achraf Hakimi completing the back four, in front of Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov.
